The Creative Process

1. Booking

The first step to starting your next creative project is scheduling a discovery call so I can learn more about you, your operation and make sure we’re a perfect fit to collaborate together! After our call you’ll be emailed a project proposal that will outline what we discussed along with add-on options available for your project and an outline of the project process. Once you’ve fine tuned the details of your project proposal, you’ll review and sign your client agreement followed by the project invoice, payment plan and deposit. Now you’re officially a Gen6 client and we can get to work on the creative process!

2. Creative Prep

Successful projects start with a strong foundation of preparation. You’ll be sent a welcome packet along with an outline of your “homework” that will help answer all the questions I have for your project along with a checklist of the materials you’ll need to send my way before I can get started. Your homework will vary depending on the project we’re working on together. Once your homework is completed I will be in contact with you if I have any last minute questions before getting started - these questions can typically be answered via email but we may need to set-up another quick call to go over some details, depending on the project we’re working on.

3. Design

Now that I have your information I’ll take the lead from here and work my magic by transforming your information and ideas into an effective marketing piece! The exact process for your project will be included in your project proposal, but keep on the lookout for your proofs as your project evolves during the creative process. You’ll be able to review proofs through an email form with questions to help guide constructive feedback and keep the project moving forward.

4. Final Files

Once you’ve approved your project we’ll do a little happy dance to celebrate and I’ll send over your final files! If we’re working on a print project I will include you in the submission emails sent to the printer or publication so they can contact me directly should any of the artwork files need set-up differently. Upon request I can also create complementary mock-up graphics for you to share you new marketing project on social media.
